Full Concept about using of articles

•    Article – a , an , the শব্দগুলকে article বলে ।
•    Article দুই প্রকার –

Kinds	Article	Examples
Indefinite article ( অনির্দিষ্ট )	a , an	যেমনঃ a toy – একটি খেলনা । an egg - একটি ডিম ।
definite article ( নির্দিষ্ট )	the	যেমনঃ the toy – খেলনাটি । the boy – বালকটি ।

Use of Article (A and An):

◼️ word এর শুরুতে consonant বা vowel দ্বারা শুরু না হলে সাধারণত তাদের পূর্বে a বসে ।
উচ্চারনের ভিত্তিতে শব্দের শুরুতে vowel থাকলে তাদের পূর্বে an বসে ।
Example: A cat , a girl , a bat এবং an orange , an egg , an apple

Exception of Article (An):

◼️ U এর উচ্চারন (ইউ) এর মত হলে – a বসে ।
A uniform , a university , a useful
u এর উচ্চারন ( আ ) এর মত হলে – an বসে ।
Example: an umbrella , an ugly

◼️ O এর উচ্চারন ( ওয়া ) এর মত হলে – a বসে ।
A one – taka note , a one – eyed man
o এর উচ্চারন ( অ ) এর মত হলে – an বসে ।
Example: an hour , an honest

•    অনির্দিষ্ট কোন ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর নামের পূর্বে a বা an বসে । যেমনঃ  a man , an old lady
•    কোন একক বা ইউনিট বোঝাতে a বা an বসে । যেমনঃ   a kilogram / ten years old girl
•    অপরিচিত ব্যক্তির নাম বোঝাতে a বা an বসে । যেমনঃ   a faruk / an Imran
•    পেশা বা ব্যবসা বোঝাতে a বা an বসে ।  যেমনঃ  a service holder  /  an engineer
•    ব্যাকে ২টি adjective word থাকলে ১ম টির পূর্বে  a বা an বসে । যেমনঃ   I have a nice and costly pen .
•    Singular  common noun এর আগে a বা an বসে । যেমনঃ  The elephant is a large animal.
•    Exclamatory বোঝাতে what এবং How এর পরে a বা an বসে । যেমনঃ  What a nice flower.
•    Adjective এর আগে so,too ইত্যাদি থাকলে এদের পরে a বা an বসে । যেমনঃ  The cow is so usfull an animal.
•    Quite ও Rather এর পরের adjective এর আগে a বা an বসে । যেমনঃ  The cuckoo is quite a popular bird.

 

Use of Article (The):

•    নির্দিষ্ট ব্যক্তি বা বস্তু , পরিচিত কোন বস্তু বা স্থানের নাম , একক বস্তু – যেমনঃ পৃথিবী ,সুর্য্য , চন্দ্র ইত্যাদি নামের পূর্বে the বসে । যেমনঃ  The boys are playing, The earth moves round the sun,  The park is a beautiful place.
•    Road এর নাম , পেশা, ধর্ম গ্রন্থ, সংবাদ পত্র, যানবাহন, নদি, সাগর, সমষ্টিবাচক দেশের নাম ইত্যাদির পূর্বে the বসে।
যেমনঃ  The N.S Road, the Quran, the Prothom Alo, the Padma, the Bangladesh
•    ব্যক্তি বা বস্তুর গুন, Superlative degree, তারিখ এবং ঐতিহাসিক ঘটনার পুর্বে ,ট্রেন বা জাহাজের নাম,সংখ্যা প্রকাশক,কিছু collective noun এর পুর্বে the বসে । যেমনঃ  The kindness, the most beautiful, the battle, the green arrow, the dozen, the audience   ।
•    কোন অনির্দিষ্ট noun ২য় বার উল্লেখিত হয়ে নির্দিষ্ট হলে the বসে । যেমনঃ there is a tree in the garden  . the tree is very tall .
